Lifelong Republican and active in Florida politics, he also served on the executive committee of the Republican National Committee. In March 2019, he married CNN contributor Ana Navarro and hosted their wedding ceremony in Miami with guests such as singer Gloria Estefan and senators Mitt Romney and Bob Menendez attending as guests of honor.
