Brenton Thomas Mackinnon was born in Taunton, Massachusetts to Denise (Gourdeau) Mackinnon and Brenton T. Mackinnon Jr. who passed away. As an honors student at Community College of Vermont he enjoys listening to music, watching sports (especially Patriots and Red Sox games) as well as movies. With three siblings including two older brothers he graduated Scotland High School.
Professional Career
Brenton Thomas is a veteran of the United States Army with over seven years of paid search, social media and organic SEO experience. He has managed campaigns for clients of all sizes – from large enterprises to bootstrapped startups -and founded Twibi – a digital marketing agency dedicated to expanding businesses’ presence online and connecting with new customers.
Thomas attended Stony Brook University where he played for the Seawolves men’s team as an integral member. He helped propel them to prominence in the America East Conference and even won the Lefty Driesell Award as best defensive player in Division I college basketball.
Brenton currently works at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Rating Veterans Service Representative and has been with them for two years.
Achievement and Honors
Brenton Thomas served in the United States Marine Corps as a gun captain, earning himself the Silver Star for his bravery during combat at Bougainville Island in November 1943. Exposing himself to machine gun, rifle, and mortar fire in order to survey enemy bunkers before selecting an ideal site to fire on and leading his men in an attack, Thomas ultimately earned his medal of courage for bravery in action.
He later served as an assistant coach for the Stony Brook Seawolves men’s basketball team and earned the Lefty Driesell Award, given annually to Division I college basketball’s top defensive player. From 2013 until 2017, he also played professionally in Japan for Link Tochigi Brex of the B.League league.

Personal Life
Brenton Thomas and his family are passionate animal enthusiasts, owning dogs, cats, horses, ponies, chickens and ducks among their collection of pets. In addition to being animal enthusiasts themselves, both brothers share an interest in music; Tre is particularly fond of singing; together they auditioned for New Zealand X Factor as The Vibes group!

Also left behind are his daughters Alexyss Denise Mackinnon and Alyssa Ann Mackinnon; two brothers: Mike Mackinnon and Todd Mackinnon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
