Henry doesn’t listen when told he has work to do as a freshman offensive lineman. While there may be schemes and improvements he needs to master and strength he must build, Henry remains determined to make himself indispensable on Shane Beamer’s squad.

Eddie Lewis could become an impact player this season. Although Trey Knox showed signs of being an exceptional receiver this spring, Joshua Simon may have the upper-hand as far as breakout potential is concerned. But Eddie Lewis may present the greatest opportunity for growth this year.

Early Life and Education

Cason Henry hails from Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia and holds an impressive 247Sports composite three-star commitment rating from 247Sports. At 6-foot-4 with 27 inches vertical reach he benches 335, squats 525, and cleans 235; his size will make him a force on the next level but he’s a quick learner eager to carve out a place for himself within Shane Beamer’s program.

He is survived by his wife Maitland Smith Henry of Sandersville; son Daniel Craig Henry from Milledgeville; daughter Susan Henry Whittle also from Milledgeville; grandchildren William Charles Henry and Zachary Sinclair Henry; two sisters (Brenda Fitts from Linden and Melody Gillean from Hughes Springs); two brothers Tommy Henry of Linden and Bob Cason from Gilmer; as well as various nieces and nephews.

Professional Career

Henry was instrumental in designing and introducing digital mortgage tools that helped consumers navigate the home-buying process more easily, earning him recognition as an industry thought leader and shaping wider dialogue on consumer engagement in mortgage market.

Mason Henry is well-recognized for his contributions to Colorado theater. His gentrification comedy “Northside” sold out 23 consecutive performances at Su Teatro in Denver without ever receiving a Henry Award nomination, among many other accomplishments like his work at Miners Alley Playhouse where he was nominated as Best Director of Musical and his leading role in “The Book of Mormon”.

Cornell University honored cason Henry for his distinguished teaching of late antique and Byzantine studies. Additionally, he co-authored a laboratory textbook which saw multiple editions and was widely adopted at colleges throughout the U.S. Additionally, cason Henry dedicated himself to improving college experiences for veteran and non-traditional students, garnering multiple awards including Zellman Warhaft Faculty Commitment to Diversity Award in recognition of this work.

Personal Life

Henry is passionate about exploring the world, with aspirations of studying international business or finance in college. Outside of football, Henry enjoys cooking (particularly chicken marsala) as well as spending time with his mother and grandparents as well as painting and Sudoku puzzles.

Henry stands out as not only a premier offensive tackle, but a stellar academic student as well. With a 3.3 GPA and honor roll membership status, Henry also serves as president of his school’s Key Club and has taken on leadership roles with this organization.

Henry is an immense man capable of playing any position along the line: tight end, fullback, defensive end or any combination thereof. With 27-inch vertical jump, 335 bench press reps and 525 squats as well as cleans of 235 pounds clean weight lifting ability; Henry plans on leading Shane Beamer’s team next season at USC.
