Chanel Weddle – A Remarkable Woman Who Has Played a Significant Role in Her Husband’s Success
Chanel Weddle is an extraordinary woman whose contributions to her husband’s success both on and off the field are immeasurable. She holds strong beliefs in family, community, and religion and strives to give back each day as part of her legacy.
Eric and Elizabeth met at Rancho Cucamonga, California’s Alta Loma High School and quickly began dating, eventually getting engaged and eventually marrying before Eric started college in 2005.
Early Life and Education
Chanel Marie Weddle was born February 25th 1984 to Sonya Blaquiere and Ron Blaquiere of Rancho Cucamonga California. As an ardent Christian she attended Alta Loma High School nearby in her local area.
Weddle is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormon church), though he didn’t grow up practicing religion. After meeting and marrying Chanel, however, religion became an integral part of their lives together and they frequently attend Sunday meetings as a couple – often praying together before football games!
They have four children together – Brooklyn Marie Weddle, Silver Jean Weddle, Gaige Weddle and Kamri Joe Weddle – which make an outstanding team both on and off of the field. All their hard work and devotion have certainly paid off well!
Chanel Weddle is an avid follower of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly referred to as Mormons). She participates in fundraising efforts and youth camps hosted by her church as well as volunteering her services as a speaker in its radio fireside chats.
Weddle was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft and has gone on to play 14 seasons with them, garnering multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods along the way.
He currently plays for the Los Angeles Rams and boasts 29 interceptions throughout his career – a franchise-best seven coming in 2011. Weddle was also honored with inclusion on the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame ballot and has appeared in three Super Bowls as the only safety to do so.

Eric Weddle was her high school sweetheart and is currently her husband. Together they have four children together who all strive in school and hope to follow in his footsteps as successful competitors like their father was. Together they reside happily in Baltimore.
