Daniel Kandler
Daniel Kandler – The CEO of Chapters Recovery in Delray Beach, Florida
As soon as an addict agrees to enter treatment on Intervention, family members experience immense relief and feel renewed hope. It’s at that point where family members cry with relief and happiness.
But treatment centers don’t have an easy ride: recently, one CEO from Delray Beach was arrested on 93 counts of patient brokering.
Early Life and Education
Kandler was born in Deggendorf, Bavaria. As a child he assisted his father with their market garden and discovered an interest in plants that later prompted him to study Botany at Munich – although World War II cut short his studies.
After World War II, he studied at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Here he took courses in botany, zoology, geology and chemistry as well as philosophy lectures; but lab conditions were inadequate so he decided to transfer his studies to Weihenstephan University instead in 1957 in order to enhance research environment.
At this point, he began research on photophosphorylation in intact Chlorella cells and published early results. Additionally, he secured funding for this innovative field of research. Finally, in Munich he organised his very first meeting on archaebacteria and invited Carl Woese to take part.
Professional Career
His business endeavors include the launch and operation of multiple businesses as well as receiving numerous awards from law enforcement agencies. Over his long career he has served in nearly every division of Wilmington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau including major crimes/homicide investigations as well as community policing efforts.
Kandler opened Impact Q Testing LLC in Delray Beach in December 2015. According to state corporate records, he was listed as its manager and marketing director.
He allegedly paid fees to associates who arranged for urine samples from sober homes to be sent directly to his laboratory, an important element in Chapters Recovery’s investigation. Furthermore, Kandler is well known for patient brokering; having been arrested multiple times. Most recently he was caught up in Palm Beach County Sober Homes Task Force’s crackdown against sober homes offering kickbacks to patients.
