Early Life and Education

After graduating from Ben Lomond High School in Wisconsin, Dan attended Middlebury College and the Universita degli studi di Firenze to study Classic and Ancient Roman history as well as Italian Poetry respectively. He earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

At 18 he began fighting professionally and, under legendary modern MMA figure Royce Gracie’s training, became Middleweight Champion with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Daniel now resides in Rockaway Beach and works in residential sales from Suffolk County to the 5 Boroughs. Daniel Kent has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, while also conducting choirs from across the country at Carnegie Hall’s National High School Choral Festival. Additionally, Daniel led a graduate practicum course on Choral Conducting at Manhattan School of Music before hosting weekly radio program “The Choral Mix with Kent Tritle” on New York station WQXR.

Personal Life

As a young man, Daniel Kent was bullied at school. To combat these attacks he turned to mixed martial arts as a form of self-defense, quickly becoming one of the more well-known local fighters, winning many fights and tournaments along the way.
