He graduated from Austin Community College and began working as a tow truck driver for Dependable Motors & Eppler Towing in 1981. Now certified Wreckmaster with over 30 years of experience, he has owned his business since 1988 and served as president of both Austin Towing Association and Texas Auto Recovery Association. He currently sits on the board of directors for Tennessee Tow Truck Association, is a stockholder in TT Publications Inc – parent company of Tow Times – and belongs to Tennessee Automobile Dealers Association, Tennessee Automotive Service Association and National Association of Towing & Recovery Professionals.
