Early Life and Education

David Ashcraft was raised in Dallas, Texas and initially intended to become a lawyer. But after studying business at Texas Tech University, he felt called into ministry, serving churches both in California and Dallas.

Pastor Henning has been instrumental in growing LCBC Church (Lives Changed By Christ) from 150 weekly attendees to eighteen locations throughout Pennsylvania. As the church continues to expand, he reminds his congregation of its goal: to see lives transformed through Christ.

He serves as senior pastor of LCBC and is a member of their leadership team. His passion is to see lives transformed by Christ, with an aim of reaching out to Central Pennsylvania and transforming one community on each continent around the world.

He currently serves as Senior Pastor of LCBC Church (Lives Changed by Christ) in Manheim, Pennsylvania where he began in 1991. Under his leadership, LCBC has expanded from one location with weekly attendance of 150 people and staff of one to eighteen locations across Pennsylvania with an average weekly attendance of over 19,000 members and staff of 280.

He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, Dallas Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Additionally, he holds a BBA in Finance and Economics as well as a BA in German from Washburn University.

David Ashcraft is an active duty Foreign Areas Officer who joined the army in his twenties and has served in multiple locations around the globe. At 44 years old, he’s currently studying International Relations at Yale College.

He serves as Senior Pastor of LCBC (Lives Changed by Christ) Church in Manheim, PA and plans to retire at the end of 2022, having been nudged and prodded by God to do so.
