David Bouvier is a Kentucky football player who has made the transition from walk-on to scholarship player. As both wide receiver and punt returner for the 10-1 Kentucky squad that won the Citrus Bowl championship, Bouvier was an integral part of their success.

He started at both positions in the opening game this season against Central Michigan, and also caught a go-ahead touchdown pass from Terry Wilson at Florida to help Kentucky snap their 31-year losing streak against the Gators. It’s hard not to be proud of him.

David Bouvier was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 4, 1961 and was a devout Christian who loved his family deeply and took pleasure in driving truck for local transportation services.

He was an incredible father and loving husband. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles for its freedom.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Shelia J. Bouvier; one son; Daniel Bouvier (Jennifer); brother; Jerry Bouvier; sister: Michelle Hall and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he will always remain close to in spirit. He will be sorely missed by all.
