David Rifkind is an Assistant Professor at Florida International University, teaching architectural history and theory.
His research examines architectural responses to modernization processes. He is the author of The Battle for Modernism: Quadrante and the Politicization of Architectural Discourse in Fascist Italy (Marsilio Editori, 2012).

David Rifkind was an inspirational leader in his field, co-founding Century City investment bank George Smith Partners at age 51. Tragically, he succumbed to a rare and rapidly degenerative neurological disease at 51.
