Dress for success: the walk-in closet is a must!
When we chat with my friends, we often talk about a room that many women want: the walk-in closet. As soon as you enter this room, you plunge into the well-ordered, organized and wonderful world of shoes, clothes and bags. For every fashion-conscious woman, having her own dressing room with lots of cupboards, sliding doors and large mirrors is particularly important.
A walk-in closet has many advantages: it puts your favorite pieces of clothing in the limelight, is particularly practical as storage space and cleverly hides the accessories.
This very personal dressing room, equipped with full-length mirrors and flattering lighting, gives us a complete overview of our own wardrobe. In a large walk-in closet there are various seating options such as an armchair, sofa or pouf.
Could you afford a separate room to put on and take off clothes? In this case it is worthwhile to set it up individually. Determine which design is important to you and design your private room full of harmony. Everything from the floor covering to the choice of color to the lighting design in the room should be designed harmoniously.
The individually adaptable shelving systems and cabinets can be designed very differently. Whether or not they match your entire home design depends on your personal taste. The textiles and upholstered furniture create a cozy and soft atmosphere, while materials such as metal or glass look more modern and chic.
Use light and tinted colors for a romantic touch. These facilities in white and cream-colored tones look classic and cozy. Round off their effect with a beautiful carpet:
Should there be more drawers or more open compartments in your walk-in dressing room? Should numerous clothes rails or rather shelves bring order to the closet? The decorative glass showcases have a sophisticated look, offer protection for fashion accessories and are clearly laid out for shoe storage. Decorative boxes and drawer units stow the small accessories, while the clothes can be arranged on clothes rails according to color, type and season.
A dressing table in the walk-in closet complements the room.
