Early Life and Education
Drew Lucas had a strong passion for helping others and believed art therapy could heal souls. His dream was to combine his talent as an artist with his desire for aiding people into a fulfilling career in art therapy.
In 1971, Lucas founded his own film production company Lucasfilm and quickly went on to direct two blockbuster hits: THX-1138 and American Graffiti.
He co-wrote and produced the legendary Indiana Jones trilogy consisting of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade.
Erwin Star Wars was also behind The Clone Wars animated series which premiered on Cartoon Network in 2008 to great acclaim, becoming one of the highest-rated programs that year. Since then he has written multiple movies within the Star Wars universe as well as executive producing some prequel films as an executive producer.
Professional Career
Drew Lucas has had a distinguished professional music career. He taught at the University of Miami Frost School of Music as Professor Emeritus before serving as Preparatory Division Director and Artistic Director for their Faculty Chamber Players, as well as serving as Principal Double Bass with Florida Philharmonic Orchestra and founding the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival.
Lucas established himself with the Knicks as one of the premier rebounders and most accurate shooters in the league, altering defensive strategies by forcing teams to closely guard him with his outside shooting that reached beyond today’s three-point line. His presence forced opponents to guard him closely.
Lucas currently works with ONE Environmental Group of Eden, North Carolina, providing environmental consulting for Nestle Purina PetCare as well as overseeing industrial compliance issues.
Achievement and Honors
Lucas made headlines during spring 1958 for memorizing 50 pages from the Manhattan White Pages telephone book and using this feat to impress fellow Ohio State students as well as Woody Hayes, their athletic director.
In 1969, Lucas co-founded American Zoetrope alongside Francis Ford Coppola to provide filmmakers a liberating environment free from Hollywood’s studio system. American Zoetrope produced American Graffiti for release and later developed Apocalypse Now as Lucas directed.

Personal Life
Drew is a passionate angler who enjoys spending time with family and attending church, serving on committees as an active member. As CEO and Executive Producer for Radar Creative – an immersive media company offering multidisciplinary team projects tailored specifically to client requirements – he leads multi-disciplinary teams through long-term projects while scaling them accordingly; overseeing projects such as Energy City at Wiess Energy Hall of Houston Museum of Natural Sciences as an immersive experience created under his watchful eye.
Drew began college at Old Dominion University thinking environmental work was exciting. To his delight, he found work with ONE Environmental Group in Eden, North Carolina where he mostly works with Nestle Purina PetCare’s new facility there handling industrial compliance issues – something which combines his love of both nature and business into one job he finds extremely fulfilling.

Lucas created and made famous two movie franchises – Star Wars and Indiana Jones, which together have grossed more than $12 billion worldwide ticket sales. He sold both his production company Lucasfilm and special effects studio Industrial Light & Magic to Disney for $4.05 billion in 2012. Additionally, he owns Skywalker Ranch near Nicasio in California.
