Great interior design without walls – a contemporary apartment in Ukraine
In contemporary apartments you can see more and more continuous living space, without thresholds, but only with seamless transitions. This has established itself as a modern trend in interior design. This interior design brings more light into the ambience and gives the apartment a very pleasant spaciousness. The strict design of the traditional living area with walls and doors is long gone. Nobody says, however, that the open floor plan is an easy thing. In order to be able to carry out such a project successfully, one should carefully consider the desired overall style of the apartment, the ambience and the available resources beforehand. An excellent example of this exquisite and exclusive trend is a modern apartment in Zaporizhia, Ukraine.
The task of the young Ukrainian designer Eugene Meshcheruk was to transform the 84 m² living space into a cozy and modern apartment for a young family. The living space was divided into a private and an open room. The open room design was achieved by tearing down some of the walls. The kitchen, living room and TV area were given a new, open, modern and spacious look. The cozy atmosphere in the apartment was complemented by pale yellow accents. The furnishing of the apartment consists mainly of environmentally friendly materials. Tinted plywood was used in the living area and bathroom. The idea of using natural materials was expanded to include brick elements and wooden boards. The clever combination between all textures delimits the individual rooms of the apartment.
A beautiful and natural accent was set with the wooden shelf between the television and dining area. The entire room remains bright and spacious, at the same time the individual zones have been separated in this way. This sensation was intensified with the different light sources – the local and hidden lighting plays an important role in this. The unique wall covering sets a delightful and highlighting accent in each zone.
The private area for the young owners of the apartment is the simple bedroom with a natural look full of wood decor, pale colors and clear lines. The transparent white curtains bring a romantic tenderness into the room. The small room was not burdened with any large furniture, so it looks brighter and more spacious.
The bathroom corresponds to the overall concept of the apartment design. One wall is clad with wooden panels, the floor color is light and the ceramic elements are in brilliant white.
This trendy, urban apartment combines natural materials, contrasting surfaces and space-saving choices in the interior. The basic color concept in all rooms consists of snow white, pale yellow, beige, gray and wood colors – a perfect solution for the cozy and cozy look of this trendy apartment.
