As soon as the topic of your thesis has been determined, you can start with the structure. Its central components are the introduction, the main part and the conclusion. A bibliography, if necessary an appendix and the declaration of independence are also included.
What is an outline?
A breakdown is the division of a whole into several structural parts or areas that are largely self-contained, but cannot be removed from the whole as a unit without making it incomplete.
What is an annotated outline?
A commented structure should therefore state how big the work should be overall, what parts it consists of, what content and large lines of argumentation should be included and how these are weighted with respect to each other.

When writing the main part, you combine the introduction and the conclusion by explaining in detail what was necessary to answer the research question, how this was done, what results came to light and also define necessary theoretical aspects (Karmasin & Ribing 2014: 29).
