How to Repair Wacom Intuos 4 USB Port
The mini-USB port of the wacom Intuos 4 tablet has a bad reputation. I managed to fix mine after spending hundreds of dollars at a repair shop. Unfortunately, the mini-USB port was so damaged that it could not be used. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to fix it yourself. First, be sure not to short-circuit the device. This could be caused either by solder or exposed metal wires. Second, you can try and glue the large USB wire to the plastic of the tablet.
Third, uninstall any current Windows updates. Sometimes, a Windows update can cause problems with Wacom software and services. To uninstall any updates that you have installed on your computer’s system, open the Settings window by pressing Windows logo + the “i”, key. Then, click the “Uninstall updates” button. Next, locate the Microsoft Windows segment. Click “Uninstall updates”. Once you have done that, uninstall any updates from your computer.
