John Pitton is the market president of Bank of America Corporation in Rochester and Finger Lakes. With 25 years of experience under his belt, John is an integral member of their leadership team in Rochester.

He began his career in finance as an analyst at Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit. Subsequently, he joined Syracuse Savings Bank and led their financial planning and analysis function.

John Pitton is an experienced banking veteran who has served the Rochester and Finger Lakes area for more than 25 years. Currently, he serves as Market President of Bank of America Corporation in this region after having worked for its predecessors for an equal period of time.

His education began with a high school diploma and continued on to Harvard University for an MA in Economics. Following that, he spent time as a financial analyst at Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit. However, it was his tenure at Syracuse Savings Bank (a large community-owned bank) that really ignited his passion for finance – leading directly to his current position at Bank of America).

John Pitton boasts over 35 years of experience in the financial sector. Currently, he serves as Senior Vice President at Bank Of America.

He served as market president for Bank of America’s Rochester & Finger Lakes region for almost ten years, where his responsibilities included business integration and championing community development initiatives.

Pitton has earned numerous certifications and specialties throughout his career, including being certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). These credentials enable him to provide patients with tailored treatments.

Personal Life

John Pitton is currently the market president for Bank of America Corporation in Rochester and Finger Lakes. He has been with the company for 25 years.

He began his career at Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit as a financial analyst within their management training program. Later, in 1985, he joined Syracuse Savings Bank as head of their financial planning and analysis function.

He was appointed Market President for Rochester and Finger Lakes in 2006. Since then, he has spearheaded business integration activities following Merrill Lynch’s acquisition of U.S. Trust, promoted the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy locally, and overseen lending and investing activities. Furthermore, his efforts have also contributed to combatting abandoned property and foreclosure issues that emerged due to the financial crisis in Rochester, New York.
