He’s a two-tour Vietnam veteran who is outraged by the players kneeling during the national anthem. That’s why he has put up so many signs around his store.

John works in the CSA Education office, where his day job involves working closely with the senior management team to set company strategy and ensure CSA has adequate resources to meet clients’ needs. He also oversees all business and financial operations of CSA, including capital fundraising. In 2016, John was appointed to their board of directors. When not working, John enjoys reading books and spending quality time with his family.

A passionate music lover, he also appreciates all things artistic and is constantly searching for new materials, methods and technologies that bring music alive. A member of both Nebraska Music Education Association and Phi Beta Mu Honorary Band Director Fraternity, Placek won numerous awards over his 28 year career – though he struggles to choose which ones are truly deserving! You can find him wearing his trademark red blazer at Millard North High School when wearing one of his signature red blazers!
