Kobi Thomas of Inter Miami CF Academy has been selected for Jamaica’s Under-20 national team competing in Honduras in 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship tournament.
He registered three tackles and a quarterback hurry in his debut against Ball State.
Early Life and Education
Ebani Thomas hails from Liberty City, Miami and still resides there today with her family. Her two sons Kai and Kobi Thomas play club soccer for InterMiami CF; both were taught to play by Roger Thomas (Retired), their coach in their youth. Today they volunteer their coaching skills by mentoring younger community soccer players.
Both boys enjoy fishing for bass with their father; Kai is currently enrolled at Florida Virtual High School while Kobi attends Florida Virtual Middle School; both attend church services together at Church by the Glades with their family.

After playing one season in the Big East with Farmingdale State, a native of Hicksville earned himself a spot with the New York Knicks’ Development League team as an NBA Ram. There, he averaged 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in that single year with them.
Thomas took his next step with FC Cincinnati 2). In 2022, they participated in the inaugural season of Major League Soccer Next Pro development pathway; Thomas quickly made the switch and established himself as a leader within coach Tyrone Marshall’s U19 squad.
