On Friday it brought visitors to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.

Early Life and Education

Lionel Corporation enjoyed great success during the early and mid 20th centuries. Unfortunately, after 1970 it fell victim to numerous reorganizations efforts and lawsuits before ultimately declaring bankruptcy.

Lionel began reissuing some postwar operating accessories such as Lumber Mill, Ice Depot and News Stand during the 1980s. Additionally, they produced numerous models descended from prewar designs.

Lionel introduced their No. 460 Piggy Back Transport Loader accessory in 1955. This flat car could be loaded with two piggyback trailer vans and featured low black metal structures with the words ‘Lionel Lines” written on them; some vans featured decals with Freihauf lettering; this version only remained available for a short while.

Professional Career

Lionel Chan is an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with extensive site experience on major projects in infrastructure, mixed developments, power and oil & gas. Involvement in expert conclaves to assess claims and disputes on major construction projects includes termination costs, change orders, delay disruption claims, rectification cost and acceleration cost assessments.

This classic 1955-57 Lionel O gauge piggy back transport loader platform comes complete with lever and crank mechanisms to lift trailer vans from their loading ramp and move them around your layout! It provides an exciting interactive element, and came packaged along with flat car No. 3460; additionally, this accessory was sold independently as No. 460P without the flat car.

Personal Life

Lionel, Lex’s father, would sometimes become violent towards his son. After being split apart by black kryptonite he quickly turned back to his evil ways; Lex found great satisfaction in this event but was disappointed to discover his own dark side had surfaced as well.

Lionel may have been harsh with Clark, yet it was obvious he cared for him deeply. During the meteor freak incident in Smallville he requested Clark save him and later hired Martha Kent as his nanny.

Lionel became desperate when his clone, Tess, escaped and killed her alternate-reality father, prompting him to attempt reanimating him with an artificial heart, which failed. Instead, Lionel turned to Darkseid for assistance.

Net Worth

Laliberte, an avid model railroad fanatic, has amassed an estimated net worth of more than one million dollars due to his collection of Lionel trains and memorabilia.

Lionel trains were at their most popular during the mid 1950s and sales started to decrease rapidly with television’s rise in sales. Lionel went bankrupt in 1967 and its rights were sold off to General Mills. In 1986, Detroit real estate developer Richard Kughn purchased back the rights and brought production back into the US where quality production such as working couplers and solid steel wheels were reinstated as well as RailSounds II from musician Neil Young was introduced. Kughn died in 1995 while Pace & Hong auctioned off his collection of trains and memorabilia by Pace & Hong.
