Luca furniture combines elements from Wes Anderson’s dreamy vintage palette, Studio Ghibli’s gorgeous coming-of-age storytelling, and Aardman chunkiness; yet one key characteristic remains constant across them all: life-affirming whimsy.

Early Life and Education
Born to an American mother and Italian father in Rhode Island, Luca Ciummo discovered upholstery while playing around his best friend’s family business as a child. Later on he opened his own shop Luca Furniture that specializes in custom furniture and upholstery work.
He first gained worldwide acclaim as one of the Young British Artists (YBAs), notorious for using shock tactics to court celebrity and commerce with works that provided shocking commentary on sensitive subjects such as female objectification and death. Over time he has developed an ambitious sculptural practice that transcends these early associations.
Now he heads his own studio, with offices in Stockholm and Venice; as well as hosting his own podcast and working with brands like De La Espada and Foscarini.
Professional Career
Luca Nichetto, an Italian industrial designer who studied at the University of Architecture and Design in Venice. Beginning his career with designing Murano glass objects for Salviati in 1999 before going on to collaborate with Foscarini as both product designer and consultant for new materials research and development until 2006. After opening up his own studio for industrial design and design consultancy in Venice and later opening another professional studio in Stockholm.
Luca furniture strikes an attractive balance between form and function, offering modular seating systems with end tables that come either equipped or without power. Each table includes a surface mount power module providing two grounded receptacles as well as two 2 amp USB ports – its finish determined by which leg option you select.
Achievement and Honors
Beginning the evening’s awards banquet with an air of mystery and pompous elegance, HOM Furniture’s Executive Director of Merchandising Kyle Johansen presented awards for Vendor of the Year and Representative of the Year respectively; Flexsteel received this prestigious distinction for their dedication in expanding product offerings with unique designs while offering unsurpassed levels of service.
Cindy Hall, vice president of case goods merchandising at Sherrill Occasional 2022 RED Award was honored with this RED Award. Cindy is known for designing stunning case good collections such as the Luca chest which showcases gentle curves with modern and functional lines that is easily customizable using various Bernhardt fabrics as well as cast aluminium or matte black leg finishes on its angled legs.
Personal Life

Ciummo’s passion for furniture and upholstery blossomed into a business employing four employees. Their focus lies on restoring antique pieces as well as custom upholstering furniture; additionally, they also offer other services including window treatments, headboards and pillows.
