Olivia Benjamin is a health care lawyer at Foley & Lardner LLP who advises clients on complex regulatory and compliance issues as well as representing them during government investigations and enforcement actions.

Early Life and Education
Olivia championed an inclusive and multicultural religious education approach that provided a global view. She sought to bridge any differences among people based on religion, race, class, gender, ethnicity, age, culture tradition or nation.
She developed leadership training for the 157 Black churches of New York City, as well as authoring several books and articles, such as an ongoing series addressing African women’s lives and contributions in society to counter stereotypes of Blacks and improve perceptions about them.
She held leadership roles in several civic and professional organizations such as Pi Lambda Theta for women educators, National Council of Negro Business and Professional Women and American Association for the Study of Life and History (Hill 1991; Pitaro 1992). Additionally, she led twenty graduate study tours to West and Central Africa.

Olivia graduated with honors from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, receiving the Charles Ballon Writing Award as well as Public Service and Dean’s Merit Scholar honors and serving as Acquisitions Editor for Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal.

She advises clients on an array of health care regulatory and compliance matters related to False Claims Act violations; Anti-Kickback Statute violations; Stark laws violations and internal investigations as well as protecting them against actions brought by federal or state agencies.
Olivia is an internationally-recognized soprano who has graced opera stages across the world as well as concert stages with acclaimed orchestras such as Munich Opera Festival, Berlin Opera Festival and Ruhrtriennale. Furthermore, Olivia can often be found appearing in film, television and radio productions.
