1. Hanging house plants
Indoor plants refresh any interior. The succulents are usually easy to care for and therefore perfect for the home office.
This idea can be implemented with a small budget. The planters are actually placed in two cut round wooden jewelry boxes! They are hung in a staggered manner with chains with a slight gold shimmer.
Hanging planters could be placed in the hallway on either side of a long wall mirror.
2. Coffee tray
This great accessory spices up every side table! The DIY painting with a geometric pattern could be color coordinated with the rest of the interior. Do you know that the metal accents in gold and silver are all the rage now?
3. Decoration in fish scale pattern
Applied on the bookshelf or work table, this great decoration idea brings the desired can of colors into your home office. How can it be redesigned? Small, round pieces of cardboard are glued onto two thin wooden boards by overlapping the circles. The end result is a fish scale pattern with an exciting look and feel.
4. Decorative adhesive tape instead of picture frames
Do you boldly hang your photos (including your selfies) on the wall at home? Yes? Then we have a great tip for you: Washi tape can be used for this purpose! The washi tape is made of rice paper, which makes it easy to tear by hand. Diverse motifs and colors add funny, but delicate decorations to the room design. The cute, handmade pompons in neon colors are the icing on the cake in this home office.
5. Tissue garland made of tissue paper
Women only: Beautify your study by hanging up a beautiful tassel garland in party colors. How can you design this trendy, brightening decoration?
For this you would need tissue paper, scissors and a piece of string.
Fold the sheet of tissue paper in half and then in two again. Now cut strips in the direction of the fold. Leave a gap of 2.5 cm.
Once you are done with the strips, unfold the paper and cut it in half. You now have two sheets of fringe paper.
Turn the paper over so that the crease is visible. Twist the twisted paper so that there is a small opening for the string.
Repeat the steps and make several tassels! The color choice can be adapted to the interior design in your home office.
6. Gold striped mouse mat DIY
The self-made mouse mat is a trendy addition to any work table. Get a simple black mat or flip the existing one and use the other side.
Thin tape is available at any DIY store. It is glued on. This is then sprayed with gold spray. Remove the tape and let it dry for about 2 hours. Finally, apply Mod Podge to prevent the paint from thinning.
Your DIY mouse mat is now ready. It looks great on the white desk, doesn’t it?
7. Painted berry packaging trays
Our environmentally friendly decoration idea is to use bowls as storage baskets. To do this, you need plastic primer and, in turn, spray paint. The drying time is approx. 2 days. Perfect for small office accessories.
8. Washi tape on the keyboard buttons
For this playful effect, you could measure the selected keys to be on the safe side. Cut out tiny pieces of washi tape and attach. Temporary or not, this idea personalizes your workplace.
9. Porcelain cup, dipped in gold color
For this very easy, but effective design idea, the white coffee mugs are wrapped airtight with adhesive tape on the upper side. The surface of the cup is then colored with spray paint from about 30 centimeters away. The cup can also be sprayed over with sealing agent in 5 minutes. The tape is then carefully peeled off. The end result is a cup of coffee with a regal look in your hand in the morning!
10. Colorful drawer boxes
If you have small, similar cardboard trays (even available in the supermarket) then you could give them a new look quickly and easily. The neutral color of the cardboard disappears under colored adhesive tape or washi tape (our favorite product today).
Hopefully we’ve inspired you to try at least one of these DIY ideas!
