Who is Christopher Paolini?

Christopher Paolini and Angela Paolini were raised together in Paradise Valley, Montana by their parents’ farmhouse. Home schooled by Talita, Christopher attended public school while his father made a living by practicing Rolfing massage techniques.

At age 15, he began writing Eragon, his debut work in Alagaesia’s epic tale inspired by broad valleys and jagged Beartooth Mountains.

Early Life and Education

Christopher Paolini was born November 17th 1983 in Southern California and is best known for writing the Inheritance Cycle book series. For much of his earlier years he was homeschooled by his mother until graduating high school at 15 through a set of accredited correspondence courses.

At graduation from high school, Paolini began writing his novel featuring dragons and heroes. While initially not expecting publication from it, he saw it more as a challenge.

Eragon spent years plotting and revising before showing it to his parents for editing and publication, with assistance from them as well. Eragon then visited more than 135 schools and libraries wearing medieval garb, including red shirt, billowy black pants, jaunty black cap and lacing up boots as part of his promotion efforts for Eragon. Furthermore, he created cover art featuring Saphira on its first edition as well as creating maps inside.

Professional Career

Jasmine Paolini, born January 4th 1996 and currently living in Bagni di Lucca with her parents – Ugo being Italian while Jacqueline Gardiner being of Ghanaian and Polish heritage. Jasmine achieved immense success as a tennis player since her debut. She achieved this success due to hard work and perseverance – something her tennis partner Jasmine knew nothing about!

Christopher Paolini attended homeschool for most of his early education and graduated high school at 15. At 15 he began writing Eragon which would eventually become published one year later.

Since then, his series has expanded to four books and sold more than one million copies. Additionally, he was very active in promoting it by touring over 135 schools to discuss reading and writing – something his parents were very proud of him for accomplishing.

Jasmine has always had the support of both her parents, Ugo and Jacqueline, when it comes to tennis. One of her greatest achievements came in 2021 when she reached the quarterfinals of a WTA challenge visit in Serbia despite facing many higher-ranked opponents.

Christopher Paolini was home-schooled by Kenneth and Talita Hodgkinson due to their concerns that traditional curriculum would bore him. Christopher graduated high school through correspondence at 15 years of age.

In 2002, he began writing Eragon: the First Book in the Inheritance Cycle and has written three more since then. Nature plays an influential role in his work; specifically Montana’s rugged terrain inspired him to create Alagaesia as part of Alagaesia.

Kenneth Paolini and Talita Hodgkinson are his parents, with his younger sister Angela providing inspiration for one of his books. The family reside in Paradise Valley, Montana.
