Additionally, he created a full-time acting academy school which ran for 10 years; unfortunately his personal life became irreparably altered when his son was diagnosed with leukemia and passed two years later.

He and Diane relocated to Vancouver in the 1980s with Christopher. He opened an acting school before suffering dementia and passing away in 2012.
