Critics of District Attorney Pamela Price have initiated a recall effort, according to filings with county elections officials and reports in the East Bay Times, Oakland Tribune and San Francisco Chronicle. A committee called “Save Alameda for Everyone,” comprised of victim rights advocate Brenda Grisham and Oakland Chinatown business leader Carl Chan is leading this initiative.

Dreyfuss has appeared in numerous popular films, such as American Graffiti, Jaws, Stand by Me and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Additionally, he has made appearances on several television programs and theater productions.
He is currently a partner at Farallon Capital in San Francisco and author of a book about environmental activism in California.
Dreyfuss became one of television’s premier actors during the late 1960s and early 1970s. His roles on such popular series as Peyton Place, Gidget, Bewitched and Valley of the Dolls earned him widespread acclaim; West Side Story made use of him as well. Finally he rose to stardom with one of the highest grossing movies ever: Jaws which established him as an Academy Award-nominated actor.

Dreyfuss was also an active campaigner on behalf of social and environmental issues, writing several books on 20th century philosophy while being an early critic of artificial intelligence (AI).
He taught for decades at UC Berkeley and received multiple honors including membership to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and Fellowship status with them. His students will always remember his infectious enthusiasm and incredibly gracious demeanor.
He would often request extra time in class because he wanted to explain something further, while being known for his humorous anecdotes and insightful barbs.
Personal Life
Dreyfus has held various corporate board roles throughout his career, such as Director for both CAP Europe and UK and helping establish Sogeti.
Late 1894 saw evidence emerge that France had been passing secrets to Germany via Captain Alfred Dreyfus, who was Jewish. A hasty investigation ensued before Dreyfus was quickly charged with treason and publicly humiliated in front of crowds of jeering spectators shouting crude anti-Semitic insults (Fig 6).
Doubts quickly emerged about Dreyfus’ case, with those on either side often choosing sides based on religious and/or nationalist loyalties; those on one side typically opposing him while those who supported him typically being left-wing intellectual or secular supporters – thus testing loyalties severely and leading to friends fighting with each other and families disintegrating into various factions.
