Sherre Gilbert – Sister of Shannan Gilbert

Sherre Gilbert is the sister of Shannan Gilbert who passed away mysteriously in 2010. Sherre still remains active in media seeking justice for her sister.

John Ray, Sherre’s attorney, believes her sister was killed and has advocated for an independent investigation to take place into this matter. Additionally, John believes Suffolk police has concealed information related to this case from public scrutiny.

Early Life and Education

Sherre Gilbert, Shannan’s sister, has had an unfortunate life. Raised by Mari Gilbert as a single mother family living in poverty and suffering from abuse at the hands of Mari’s boyfriend; also suffering from sexual assault as an adult as well as mental illness herself, Sherre ultimately succumbed to mental illness herself and passed away from this.

Sherre is an outspoken supporter in trying to solve her sister’s case and has created a Facebook page called Praying for Shannan Maria Gilbert. Sherre has appeared in multiple crime docuseries and TV shows such as The Killing Season, Bodies at the Beach: Search for a Serial Killer, Disappeared 48 Hours etc.

Sherre made her debut as a TV host when she guest announced on Jeopardy! shortly after longtime announcer Charlie O’Donnell died.

Professional Career

Gilbert began his career as a nightclub singer and emcee across the United States. Later he received professional vocal training from an opera singer before eventually becoming part of Shelly Harmon and His Orchestra’s Virginia tours as a regular vocalist.

Gilbert began working in radio announce as an announcer on Words and Music for two years – it was during this time he met Sharee Gilbert who would later become his future wife.

This couple has two children together. Although the details of their private lives remain vague, no rumors regarding divorce or separation have ever surfaced despite having been married for decades – they still occupying the house they bought in early 1980s.

Achievement and Honors

In 1958, Gilbert served as host and announcer for a local version of Words and Music produced by KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, acting and singing clubs, and touring Western Europe as lead actor of Xanadu (an original play based on Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem Kubla Khan).

He has long served as an announcer on both NBC and ABC television networks, featuring on popular game shows such as Joker’s Wild, $10,000 Pyramid, Supermarket Sweep and other programs like that. Furthermore, he currently holds the record as being Jeopardy!’s longest-serving announcer with 32 years under his belt!

In 2017 he was honored to be inducted into the Guinness World Records as the longest-serving game show announcer. Sharee and Jacqueline, his wife and child respectively.

Personal Life

Sherre Gilbert is Mari Gilbert’s second-oldest daughter and sister to Shannan Maria Gilbert who was killed in Ocean Beach in 2010. Shannan Maria Gilbert worked at a sex shop. Sarra Gilbert currently sits in jail on murder charges; her attorney claims she suffered from mental illness.

Gilbert was raised in poverty and suffered abuse at the hands of her mother’s partners. Additionally, she experienced issues related to drug dependency.

Sherre is not one to reveal much about her personal life; no one knows who or if she is dating, let alone married. However, she has a Facebook page dedicated to the memory of her late sister where she posts updates regarding the case on an ongoing basis; additionally she’s active on Twitter and Pinterest showing an interest in fashion and home designs.
