Steve Hole is the CEO and founder of 1118, which develops new technology systems for enterprises. Prior to that he served as NBA Manager of New Technology and League Applications; Hearst Digital Media also hired him as their Director of Product Development; both organizations praised Hole for his dedication to education as well as leadership skills.
Early Life and Education
Hole was raised as the son and grandson of Wyoming geologists. As such, he often joined his father on field trips around Tertiary and Mesozoic outcrops. Although Hole earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Huxley College of Environmental Studies at Western Washington University, he made sure to include geology as a minor “to keep good standing with my family”.
While in school, Hole was active with both Key Club and Interact Club and helped establish the Champions Mentor Program. Additionally, he served on Logan Booster Board of Directors for 27 years while raising funds for Swanson Field.
John was survived by his wife Mary; two of his three children: Scott (Tara) Hagen and Katie Hagen; three grandchildren; one sibling Kim Graff as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Steve Milano has held many executive roles throughout his career, such as chief operating officer and vice president of marketing. Additionally, he’s served as manager, division director, small-business consultant, as well as authoring several hundred career articles across multiple industries and professions.

He served on the Logan Booster Club board for 27 years and chaired their annual golf tournament, raising more than $160,000 in that time. Additionally, he created and implemented the Champions Mentor Program, pairing high school students with middle schoolers to teach them about substance abuse prevention and community stewardship.
Last week, Logan honored Hole by naming its field house after him during the Central-Logan city rivalry game. Hole spent 32 years at Logan and 41 in La Crosse School District as a teacher, coach, and activities director.

On Thursday evening, Logan High School honored longtime educator Al Hole who spent 32 years as teacher, coach and athletic director in La Crosse school district before passing away last September. Principal Gnewikow noted his many community service efforts including creating the Champions Mentor Program where young children mentor other youth about drug use.
Hole was also involved with running his own small business that provided clients with assistance in implementing new technology systems. He provided consulting for the NBA to manage new technology and league applications before creating 1118, a software development firm specializing in enterprise apps. Hole leaves behind his wife Mary; children Scott and Katie; as well as other loved ones.
