Steve Lamberson was born October 31, 1962, in Chiefland. Professionally, Lamberson works at the Air Force Research Laboratory as a structural analysis engineer on the Airborne Laser program. He oversees its technical health while serving as liaison between program office and laboratory.

He is also a partner at Skanska USA, where his practice involves civil and municipal defense litigation – including medical malpractice claims defense and representing healthcare providers in disciplinary proceedings.

Co-Interim Superintendent Griff Powell stated that the Board is pleased to see the issue of Lamberson’s pay resolved so it can be put “in the rear view mirror”. Both he and the school district had different interpretations of what constitutes overcompensation; their settlement agreement outlines that Lamberson will repay any overpayments to the District based on actual amounts overpaid to him.

Achievement and Honors

He is widely respected for his leadership and service to the community, receiving both professional awards as well as academic ones for his academic excellence. With special expertise in medical malpractice defense and provider disciplinary proceedings as well as extensive municipal defense experience and construction defect litigation.

He is a member of both the American Bar Association and Minnesota State Bar Association and holds Fellow membership with both. In addition, he belongs to Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association as a former President, serving both organizations concurrently before taking up Vice-Presidency with International Defence Lawyers Association in 2011.

He and his wife Shirley are active members of Cornerstone Community Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin and have been blessed with four children and seven grandchildren.

Personal Life

Steve Lamberson is an ordained Baptist minister and pastor of Liberty Heights Free Will Baptist Church and Academy in Liberty Heights, Georgia. In addition, he serves on both the Paris Police Department and Sheriff’s Posse.

He is married to Amanda and has one daughter; they reside on La Nuez Ct SE in Burlington, MA. Dr. White holds both a Bachelor’s and Doctorate of Public Health degrees from the University of Michigan.

Before marrying Amanda, he worked as a nurse for the United States Army. Additionally, he has held board positions at numerous companies such as Allied Medical Group and Boston Scientific; participated in charity events; enjoyed sports; was active in community service; and earned himself an award called Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Lamberson; daughters Cori and John Lamberson as well as Paul and Jeffrey Lamberson along with many grandchildren.
