Steve Mudder – Alumnus of Florida State University

Steve Mudder has extensive international legal and business experience. He currently serves as director of both PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk and PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo), both publicly listed companies that own and operate telecommunication towers throughout Indonesia.

He holds both a Bachelor of Science Finance Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School, specialising in helping individuals with their Business/Corporate issues.

Early Life and Education

At Avon High School he participated in football, band and chorus activities. Following graduation he worked at both a grain elevator and hardware store before farming with cows milked from Avon High and chickens raised on his property.

He holds both a bachelor’s in finance from Florida State University and law degrees from Harvard Law School, serving on both boards simultaneously. Furthermore, he holds memberships at both Georgia Bar Association and California Bar Association as well as being certified contract advisor for NFL Players Association.

Janice (Terry) Mudder of Huron; George Mudder from Ft. Campbell KY; Melvin Mudder from Tyndall; Joan Mudder from Olivet and David Mudder from Garretson are his children; thirteen grandchildren are in their care as is eight great-grandchildren. Charlotte Mudder had preceded him in death.

Professional Career

He served as Vice President of International – Legal for American Tower Corporation, overseeing legal and business activities related to global expansion initiatives in Mexico, Brazil, India and Asia. Additionally, he founded Protelindo–an international telecom tower company in Yangon–as both shareholder and General Counsel.

Mr. Mudder is currently practicing law since 1998 and works with clients on business / corporate issues. His educational credentials include a Bachelor of Finance from Florida State University with high honors and a Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from Harvard Law School; membership in both Georgia Bar and California Bar associations; Board Member at FSU’s College of Business Board, Certified Contract Advisor representing NFL players among others.

Achievement and Honors

Mudder has built an international business career as an investor, business executive and lawyer. He serves as founder, owner and general counsel of various wireless infrastructure companies both domestically and abroad.

He is also on the board of governors for Florida State’s College of Business and was honored as a Charles A. Bruning Distinguished Speaker. Additionally, he has provided generous donations to support FSU including one worth $1 Million that established the Mudder College of Business Building Maintenance Fund.

Mudder is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and has been listed in Marquis’ Who’s Who in American Law. Currently located in Atlanta, he specializes in business/corporate issues as an Atlanta attorney formerly partnering at two prominent national law firms.

Personal Life

Steve Mudder is an FSU alum and continues to invest in the University through various means, most recently making a $1 million estate gift to establish the College of Business Building Maintenance Fund. Steve believes strongly in the quality of FSU as an institution as well as its faculty, students and staff members, hence why he believes so strongly in contributing.

Steve currently serves as General Counsel and Board member for two Indonesian companies that own and operate wireless infrastructure (towers), PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk and PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo). Steve oversees all legal, contractual, litigation issues as well as business development initiatives at both of these firms.

He serves on the Florida State University College of Business Board of Governors and as a certified contract advisor for professional football players. In his personal life, he is married with two daughters and seven grandchildren.
