Early Life and Education

Cribbs was active in the Future Farmers of America program as a child and earned both State and American FFA Scholarships. Additionally, he participated in high school football, basketball and track & field.

His sophomore rushing yard totals put him on the national radar, while his performance as a junior earned him his spot in Auburn’s record books.

He is one of only two true freshman college footballers ever to rush and pass for over 1,000 yards during a single season, the other being Armanti Edwards from Appalachian State.

He was raised in East Cleveland, Ohio and attended Dunbar High School where he won three consecutive DCIAA football titles. Later he went on to play for Kent State and later the NFL’s Cleveland Browns; becoming part of their 2008 Pro Bowl team as well.
