Steven Janssen, Attorney at Law

Steven is an attentive husband to Angie, a caring father to their four children, and an active member of his local church in the west valley. His specialty includes trusts, estate planning, business law and personal injury claims.

Shuhei is an experienced industry leader who has advocated for pharmaceutical innovation and increased access to transformative medications as President of Janssen Japan, our second-largest market globally.

Early Life and Education

Janssen worked at Jim Grimaldi’s law firm while also playing baseball for Bradley High. Additionally, he maintained a Tumblr blog under “Sleepyard” as another way of publishing his photography and answering fans’ inquiries.

He currently leads Janssen’s Asia Pacific Market Access team and oversees patient access plans that drive Janssen’s strategic commitment. Additionally, he advocates strongly for diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) within workplace.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who attended First Baptist Church Lorraine. He enjoyed traveling with his family on bus tour trips across America before passing peacefully away in his sleep on November 13, 2020 at age 96.

Professional Career

Janssen has represented clients in court cases related to trusts, wills, estate planning, probate administration, personal injury law and business law matters throughout his career. Additionally, he remains active within his church and community in West Valley of Arizona.

He is an exceptional leader, focused on growth and creating inclusive cultures. This was evident in his role as Head of Medical Affairs for Asia Pacific Region; leading a team of medical experts and overseeing evidence generation functions while driving transformation towards becoming a science-led organisation.

He is responsible for overseeing the strategic and financial performance of Pharmaceuticals business across Asia Pacific, setting business strategy and driving expansion in partnership with commercial leaders.

Achievement and Honors

Janssen has been exhibiting his visual art both nationally and internationally for more than 15 years, often exploring confessions found within spaces often ignored or scrolled past, such as social media comments and creative writing exercises.

After Japan’s dissolution, Sylvian collaborated on various projects with Sylvian and Karn, including their more experimental Nine Horses project and various solo albums released through his Samadhi Sound label. Additionally he contributed his talents and albums by Perry Blake, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Alice.

Yuri is an accomplished leader known for her strong financial acumen and passion to promote growth across Janssen’s Asian markets. As part of Janssen Asia Pacific Leadership team, she advocates for Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).

Personal Life

Janssen spends his free time being an attentive husband and father, actively engaged in his local church and community, mountain biking and coaching track & field – activities which he loves doing with his family in West Valley.

His art is inspired by desert blooms and sunrises, using acrylics with water washes to create atmosphere, as well as layers of brightly colored paint applied 15 at a time. His works are collected by Greater Palm Springs fans as well as Hollywood celebrities including Jennifer Aniston.

Janssen strategically planned his gallery opening during White Party weekend in 2006 to garner maximum exposure among his target market. The gallery itself is housed in a former T-shirt shop that he transformed with paint and track lighting to meet this goal.

Janssen has successfully tried more than 200 jury cases, from complex multi-week trials and major litigation matters, to Fortune 500 corporations, some of Texas’s largest law firms, Chief Justices of State Supreme Court and family owned businesses.

He is widely respected for his knowledge in healthcare regulatory issues and led the development of an integrated market access team across Asia Pacific, creating platforms, creating integrated evidence generation plans and formulating pricing policies tailored to regional requirements.

Liv Tyler was born July 1, 1977 in New York City to mother Bebe Buell and stepfather Todd Rundgren; until the age of 10, they provided care. Liv is of Italian, English, Ukrainian and German heritage and currently resides in Los Angeles with husband Steven Janssen and two children.
