Stanek is a left-handed pitcher known for using four-seam fastballs that sit between 90s and low 100s, as well as an accompanying slider, to produce an extremely low 1.15 ERA/WHIP rate through 54.2 innings this year with 17 holds and has only had to use this pitching style as an opener with the Rays; making 59 appearances (29 starts).
