Team Diel: Exeet sales in southern Germany

Christian Kopp, Team Diel: Effective immediately, he will be responsible for Exeet sales in southern GermanyChristian Kopp from Team Diel in Hohenbrunn will be responsible for Exeet sales in southern Germany and will in future also be offering financing models and leasing options for the Exeet 670R and V990R models. Exeet V990R: based on the Yamaha YFM 700 Raptor equipped with the LC8 powerplant of a KTM Superduke 990Exeet V990R stands for the creation of designer Sebastian Jornitz: The basis is the Yamaha YFM 700 Raptor, plus the V2 unit of the KTM Superduke 990 with 990 cc and an output of 133 hp. Now there should also be such conversions in southern Germany – the first project that Sebastian Jornitz and Christian Kopp tackle together: Team Diel will receive a self-assembly kit from Exeet and will build the two-cylinder black horse. The special thing about it: Unlike the manufacturer Exeet in Mechernich, where the vehicles are only produced to order, Team Diel is building its first Exeet project without a fixed customer order. “If you are quick to order our first project, you can still influence the conversion details such as color and chassis,” says Christian Kopp happily.

Exeet sales in southern Germany: V990R from western to southern Germany

In December 2014, Sebastian Jornitz and Christian Kopp decided to work more closely with the Exeet brand: Exeet 670R: since 2012 produced in small series noble black with the 600 cubic four-cylinder engine of the Yamaha 600 FazerEffective immediately, Team Diel will take over Exeet sales in southern Germany; now the noble raptor conversions are also being built in southern Germany.
“No production quad has enough power that it can’t be increased,” argues Sebastian Jornitz, and with the beefy KTM two-cylinder, the manufacturer from Mechernich has already gotten things talking in the tuning scene, see our article Exeet V990R: Yamaha PIMP with KTM V2 engine. We like the vehicle, but purchase often fails because of the costs: 18,990 euros plus engine is no small matter, and so Exeet also has a financing package in its luggage as part of the expansion. “Financing and leasing are not a problem for us – assuming creditworthiness and checking by the bank,” says Christian Kopp. Incidentally, he hired a special mechanic to set up the Exeet vehicles: a car engineer from Portugal who, as a passionate buggy designer, used to be on the road in international rally racing.

A tough piece of work: 700 Raptor with KTM V-2 engine from a Duke with 990 cc

“Installing the KTM two-cylinder is a bit time-consuming,” says Sebastian Jornitz from experience. Due to the V2’s air box at the top, the fuel tank has to move to the rear. Due to the rear tank, the battery no longer fits into the rear frame and has to be placed in the front. “The biggest challenge is to build an exhaust with the correct manifold length for both cylinders, which is the same for both cylinders and which does not affect the ground clearance, given the space available,” reports the designer, who had to develop oversize brakes to match the performance in order to implement his Raoptor conversion : The disc diameter of the front anchors grew from 160 mm to 180 mm, and at the rear even from 200 to 245 mm. Exeet at the ‘Free’ trade fair in Munich

Team Diel has also planned a trade fair appearance at the travel and leisure trade fair ‘Free’ from February 18 to 22, 2015 in Munich: Exeet“With a bit of luck we will have a small stand at the Free in Munich and will exhibit one or two vehicles there to make Exeet sales known in southern Germany,” says Christian Kopp happily. chk
