Tom Adamo – Washington Elementary School Special Education Teacher
Tom Adamo is proud to be part of Washington Elementary School team. For 13 years he has served in education both as an elementary special educator and principal.
He enjoys working with children and helping them meet their goals. He works tirelessly to give them access to an excellent education.
Early Life and Education
Mr. Adamo hails from Osceola and received both his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Special Education as well as Master’s of Educational Leadership degrees from St Thomas Aquinas College. After serving as both classroom teacher and elementary school assistant principal in Montclair, Mr. Adamo is excited to join Washington Elementary where his focus will be helping each child thrive both academically and spiritually.
In 2007 he released the album ‘La Part de L’Ange,’ catapulting him into the new French music scene, with artists like Olivia Ruiz duetting with him. Two years later came La Grande Roue with Alain Cluzeau from Benabar and Fabrice Ravel-Chapuis as musicians.
He is the proud and adoring father of Angela Adamo-Baker, Joseph Adamo, Nicole Adamo and Anthony Adamo; proud grandfather to Edward, Sammy-Jo, Talia, Christian Milania and Austin as well as an adorable pooch named Guido.
Professional Career
Adamo began his career in corrections as an officer for Passaic County Sheriff’s Academy’s Basic Police Class in 1997. Since then he has worked within both anti-crime units of his department as well as being part of their NJ DEA Task Force.
He serves as President of Adamo & Associates Inc, where his responsibilities include effective organization, operation and management of the company as well as being its public face.
He has an immense passion for education and strives to ensure St. Thomas maintains its excellent academic program and high standards. He hopes to make a positive difference in the community and attract more families to enroll at St. Thomas. In addition, he enjoys cultivating meaningful relationships with current students and staff; family is very important.
