Aludyne announced today the appointment of Thomas Bozek as Senior Vice President and General Manager – Americas. Bozek will oversee all manufacturing operations within US, Mexico and Brazil for Aludyne.
Early Life and Education
Thomas Bozek was born September 2nd 1978 in Poland and immigrated with his family as a child to Canada as an infant. While attending Senator O’Connor Catholic High School he played in a heavy metal band as drummer before graduating with his Bachelors of Engineering from Ryerson University.
He continued playing college hockey at Northern Michigan University, earning CCHA First-Team All-Star honors both years he was there while also becoming the team’s leading scorer and being nominated as a Hobey Baker Award finalist.
Marge Bozek survives her husband, Michael Petrus; daughters Rita Plovock Petrus (and husband Michael), Nancy Plovock Wiland (and Gary Wiland) as well as Shawnee Bozek Papincak Carlson and John Carlson of Connellsville PA and Maribeth Bozek Kuzmicki of Haymarket VA as well as 13 Grandchildren: Michael Thomas Ryan Petrus as well as Isaiah Amanda Leann Wiland plus Nick Justin Alex Bozek who all reside near family. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces & nephews.
Professional Career
After graduating from NMU, Bozek was selected in the third round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft by Los Angeles Kings and made their roster out of training camp – featuring on Triple Crown Line with Marcel Dionne and Dave Taylor for much of 1981-82 season. Bozek even took part in one of league history’s greatest playoff comebacks against Edmonton Oilers during Miracle on Manchester matchup; scoring game-winning goal against them!
Bozek spent 11 seasons playing in the NHL and became known as an effective checker and penalty killer. Following retirement in 1991, he now teaches at Stevenson University in Libertyville, Illinois as well as being featured on NBC Sports Chicago as a commentator.
Achievement and Honors
Bozek is a founding member of the American Institute of Management. He has held board directorships at multiple companies including HSN Inc and QVC Inc; Fox Television produced productions under him; received honors and awards such as American Marketing Association’s Excellence in Management Award among many others.

Megan Bozek, daughter of Tom and Patti Bozek from America, is an ice hockey player who has participated in both Zhenskaya Hockey League and National Women’s Hockey League leagues.
Personal Life
Thomas Bozek’s family has always been passionate about hockey. She played alongside her brothers in their basement games and often shot pucks back-and-forth against each other. Even her dad enjoyed playing.
After experiencing difficulty during his rookie campaign, he was traded to the St. Louis Blues early in 1982-83. While still contributing effectively as a hard-shot left wing, injury problems made his role unreliable.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church of Baynesville’s music director was eagerly anticipating the arrival of its new pipe organ like any father waiting to meet his newborn child. He knew just how much this instrument would enhance parishioners’ musical experiences. On September 14, 2019, Schantz Organ Company truck arrived and it was an eventful momentous occasion!
