Tiny tree houses in house plants are great for fairies
The film “Stranger Beings – The Magic of Elves” is the true story of the Cottingley fairies. It is about two girls who met a couple of fairies and who have proven this encounter with a few photos. Even the famous writer Arthur Conan Doyle would have wondered about this claim. But in 1980 the mystery was revealed – both girls confessed that the pictures were falsified.
Inspired by this film, the artist Jedediah Corwyn Voltz builds magical little tree houses into house plants. As a child, he still loved building fortresses for his toys in the garden among the plants. In winter, when everything outside was frozen, he is said to have used his mother’s plants for this purpose. He has kept this passion to this day as an adult. He builds precise and detailed mini tree houses in house plants and it is so easy for him that he has created a total of 25 pieces.
His work was connected with the production of toys and he had a lot of leftover pieces of wood, different fabrics, etc. at his disposal. While the machines were idle, he designed little fairy-tale creations. He really enjoyed that. Over time, he got so much better at what he did that he started building the cottages. In his magic collection he has different designs – from tiny watchtowers in remote forests and meditation spots on the treetops to huge, busy windmills and water wheels.
