Tip: Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Detailer

The Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Detailer (approx. 17 €) is a real insider tip. Since my Audi purchase in 2011, it has been maintained almost exclusively with products from the American premium brand. But the Quik Detailer is the most convincing: It is a paint cleaner and sealant in one.

Meguiars himself names him “Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Detailer Quick Paint Cleaner” but rather its function as Gloss and sealanttool Interesting. After washing (by hand or in the car wash) I use the Quik Detailer from time to time. To do this, spray it directly onto the (in my case clean) paintwork and distribute it with a clean microfiber cloth until no residue can be seen. Windows and plastic parts are left out. If you do this properly on the whole car, it should be about 20 miutes last.

Immediately after application you can do the test with a few squirts of water: it rolls off extremely well, hardly a drop remains on the paintwork. So the effect of this product is impressive

• Varnish UV protection
• Shine Spray

Currently (April, May) my vehicle is covered with sticky pollen within 2 days. If I want to wash it, just hosing it off with clear water in the self-service box is enough: the dirt is only on the Meguiar’s protective layer, so to speak, and it comes off incredibly easily – so with 50 cents invested in the self-service box, it shines like a complete wash.

You can also use the Quick Detailer wonderfully as a Reinforcement / renewal of an existing wax layer use. Areas where, for example, large insects have been smashed can also be quickly and easily cleaned and sealed again.

The Quik Detailer is available at Amazon for the steep price of just under 20 euros (650 ml) – I still have my only bottle from 2011 (!) and the spray is therefore fully worth its price.
