Triton importer at the end: And now what?

Now that the German Triton importer has broken down and announced it is going out of business – see our post Koch Zweirad’s End: Bitter End – ATV and quad riders as well as dealers are wondering what to do with their vehicles will happen and which vehicles they can buy or sell in the future.

Triton importer at the end: alternatives

The question of alternatives on the market is the easiest to clarify. As far as Access is concerned, the only thing that changes – formally – is sales. With Michael Leeb Trading GmbH, the Triton manufacturer Access Motor has found a new sales partner who is now offering the vehicles of the Taiwanese manufacturer in Germany and Austria under its own brand name, see our article Michael Leeb: takes over Access sales. With the AMX 750 4×4 EFI, the new Access importer will be offering the top model from the Taiwanese ATV manufacturer from April, see our article Revealed: Access Motor AMX 750 4×4 EFI. As far as smaller displacements are concerned, Michael Leeb Trading offers the Aeon brand, also from Taiwan, whose sport quad ‘Cobra 400’ won the ‘Quad of the Year’ trophy last year as part of the ATV&QUAD readers’ choice 2013.
Most of the Triton fleet known today will be offered by Goes in the future. Otherwise, when it comes to Taiwanese and Chinese brand manufacturers, Adly / Herkules / Cectek (Euromotor), CF Moto and Explorer (KSR Group), Dinli (Karcher), Goes (Jets Marivent), Kymco (MSA) as well as online and TGB (Hans Leeb) as suppliers with professional sales systems and spare parts supplies. A complete overview of the range of ATVs and quads in the 2014 model year can be bought at the kiosk at the end of February 2014: that is when the 2014 ATV&QUAD catalog will appear with the complete range on the market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Guarantee Supply

Things look far more exciting than with new vehicles as far as warranty services for Triton vehicles on the market are concerned. Koch-Zweirad boss Wil Fronik has so far expressed little more than declarations of intent: “We will inform you promptly about the exact handover.” Anyone who is familiar with the language used in management must assume at this point that no solution is fixed.
It remains to be hoped that one will be found. Otherwise dealers and drivers could be left with their warranty claims. x
