Tyshane Vris Thomas, 20, has been charged with three sexual assault incidents near Texas State University campus and arrested after an alert citizen found a backpack with weapons and women’s clothing inside it on Tuesday.
Thomas was identified by a backpack with his name written on it, sporting black hooded sweatshirt with a mask attached and what appeared to be an imitation pistol BB pistol that appeared real. Thomas last attended Texas State in fall 2018.

Tyshane hails from Atlanta, Georgia and attended Southside High School. Currently he belongs to various organizations and serves on their boards such as Atlanta Falcons Advisory Board, Atlanta Rotary Club and 100 Black Men of Atlanta as well as being a part of White House HBCU Capital Financing Working Group.
He has produced for artists including 2 Chainz, G-Eazy, Andy Mineo and Lecrae independently and as part of 808 & Elite. Additionally, he has appeared in multiple TV shows.
Police claim Thomas confessed during his questioning to three sexual assault crimes he committed over several weeks in San Marcos in May 2019. He broke into victims’ homes, blindfolded and zip-tied them before physically and sexually assaulting them before seizing on items used for these attacks from his apartment such as duct tape, personal lubricant and other tools that police found used during attacks on him.
