Unforgettable stone house – excellent ocean and nature atmosphere
Do you want to escape the dynamic, industrialized everyday life full of stress and hectic and immerse yourself in the calming nature? Especially for you today we are presenting a designer house on the Pacific coast of Taiwan. The majestic beauty of nature in combination with the local traditions, the minimalist modern charm and the unexpected furnishing solutions give this designer project an inexplicable character and a mesmerizing atmosphere. House “A’tolan ”means a house built of stones and it actually is just like that. The architecture of the apartment and the garden shows an open space between the interior and the surroundings. The building is equipped with large picture windows and this is how this calming, airy atmosphere was achieved. The closed rooms are minimized – only the bedrooms and the kitchen. Everything else is outside – a bathtub under the stars, a large wooden terrace and solid stone structures.

Water-resistant wooden floor coverings are an important point in the wet areas
In this way, a direct connection with nature was created, which gives this place a unique look. The architects aim to achieve a maximum symbiosis between the building and the natural environment, as well as local traditions and spirit. Stones were used on site for the construction and the traditional local technique “A’tolan” was used in full. The architectural style is characterized by the stoicism of the stone walls and the dynamism of the Pacific. The wall and ceiling coverings made of natural wood do not contradict the biological character of the house at all. They give the ambience a nice warmth and cosiness. The color concept of the overall design is in full harmony with the surrounding nature. The dark color palette of the graphite-colored metal frames on the construction and the dark wood in the interior are refreshed by the light stone walls and white textiles. The green is inscribed everywhere in the interior and exterior. The peculiar, bright appearance of this house is harmonious and in keeping with its paradisiacal location – a real place for pleasure.
