One SSt (semester hour, also known as SWS = weekly semester hour) means that you have 45 minutes of lessons.

What does 4 hours per week mean?

A time specification of 4 SWS for a subject means that during a semester you will study this subject every week for four hours of lectures for 45 minutes (three hours of time). There are also events that are only taught for half a semester.
