The button with the snowflake (e.g. on Opel) or with the designation “AC” is not intended for winter or even snowfall, but switches on the air conditioning compressor, i.e. the air conditioning in the vehicle. When the outside temperature is high, you have the option of keeping the interior pleasantly cool.
The air conditioner also has a dehumidifying effect. If, for example, the windscreen is fogged up from the inside in summer, you should switch on the air conditioning for a few minutes and set the fan to maximum power in the direction of the windscreen.
