You should top up the oil regularly.

Running an engine with too little oil can have fatal consequences. You should therefore check the oil level regularly using the appropriate dipstick, which is usually marked orange. Not correct is, however, the statement that you should simply pour oil into the engine regularly according to your feelings! Only top up oil if the dipstick shows that it has actually become less! Cars often never lose oil and accordingly no refilling is necessary. We recently received an example of a new car’s driver information system being misinterpreted as saying “Oil is empty”. With a new car it is very unlikelythat it loses oil at all in the first tens of thousands of kilometers! Therefore, always make sure in the manualso as not to misunderstand your car’s digital gauges!
