Dave landscaping began as a landscaper in 1979 when he started helping friends and family with their yards. Over time, his workload increased exponentially until eventually he started his own business out of it all.

Dave landscaping has achieved great success in his professional career, yet still finds time for volunteerism and community involvement. He currently sits on the boards of several local business associations.

He is also a member of Landscape Ontario, a nonprofit association that promotes the landscape industry. Currently serving as its president, Mr. Clarke enjoys an active involvement with this association.

Dave has a deep-seated dedication to sustainable landscape principles, which he shares with the 60+ employees at Back to Nature Landcare Inc. In just over two and half years, they’ve gone from having four commercial crews to 17 teams!

He has also dedicated his time and expertise to further the ALCA sustainable landscape program. As the first certified SLM professional in ALCA’s SLM program, he recently earned his AZ Certified Landscape Professional certification.

He is passionate about having a positive effect on the community, both here in Rochester and throughout New York State. This commitment can be seen through his involvement with professional and community organizations, as well as his impressive leadership capabilities.

Personal Life

Dave’s personal life includes his wife, four cats and an impressively well-behaved dog. All these creatures reside in his top-notch home on Laurel Oak Drive with its luxurious modern feng shui inspired interior. But perhaps most impressive of all is that Dave has no mortgage or rent payments to speak of and a large backyard perfect for lawn mowers and tennis rackets – meaning he can lead an exemplary lifestyle without interruptions – not to mention being an elegant bachelor like us all!
