Designing a bedroom- Modern ideas for improving bedroom design
No matter how hard we try, the interior design does not always work out as desired. But that shouldn’t discourage you. Ultimately, we spend most of our time at home.
The bedroom is a place where we should definitely feel that we are in good hands. But we can also achieve comfort if we do not manage it from the start.
Today we are going to show you some examples of typical mistakes in bedroom furnishing and present solutions for them.
Boring and white
White is a calming color, but it can also appear sterile very quickly. It’s exhausting and doesn’t really get us in the right mood before going to sleep. You can correct this mistake by adding some colored accents in the white bedroom. Complete the neutral window decoration with colored elements. Spread out additional decorative pillows in rich shades here and there. So that the sterile look doesn’t get too colorful, the new accents should match each other in terms of color and shape.
Too much different!
Obsessed with striving for a personalized room appearance, we could end up creating a messy look. This is not eclectic, but a jumble of styles that have no connecting elements. Make a guide and arrange the items according to this. Here’s how it works in practice: Use one or two of the elements as a starting point for a redesign. That could be the headboard and the wall color, for example. Now you should replace or transform the rest of the interior so that everything visually harmonizes. This creates a uniform look. You can now loosen it up with a few accents. However, these must not be too different from one another, so that the initial situation does not arise again!
Change monotonous design
The monotonous design arises for many different reasons. A typical example is the combination of white walls with monotonous furniture and uninspiring bedding. Even the bold accents might not be enough in such a case to create a great design full of character. Make a bigger change: paint the walls a light pink or some other soft pastel shade and you’ll get a whole new look in the room. And a new feeling of space!
Transformation through floral design
In a sterile or boring bedroom, you can completely loosen up the mood with colorful floral patterns. These can be decorative and for more life we would distribute a few more vases and potted plants in the room. Distribute the patterns so that they direct the eye and make the headboard a great eye-catcher with meaningful patterns.
Too much beige
Beige is very often recommended as a color for bedroom design. Because of this, many people get the impression that you can’t go wrong with this color. That’s not entirely true – the entire beige interior can seem boring and conservative. The solution for such a room furnishing is the use of a few color accents in orange.
Too dominant a saturated color
Bedrooms completely in green or blue can initially feel very full of character. However, after a certain period of time, such an arrangement is quite tiring. But you don’t have to do without your favorite shades. However, choose a subtle, possibly a pastel shade of these colors.
Try until it works!
Don’t be satisfied with interior décor that is boring or stimulating. Ultimately, your rest and relaxation are most important! So that your design experiments don’t end up being too expensive at the end of the day, you should definitely do more with the resources available. If you want to try something new, do it in a limited space first. Only then can you spread out over the entire bedroom.
We wish you the best of luck with the design of your bedroom!
