Omarion Henry graduated from Normandy High School and will attend University of New Orleans this fall as one of its top prospects in his class.

His debut album, O, became an instant classic on both Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list and Billboard 200 chart; additionally, the RIAA certified it with gold certification.

Early Life and Education

As a child, Omarion Henry held onto his dream. At O’Fallon Family YMCA he spent hours running through line drills on the basketball court with his trainer calling out encouragement “C’mon one more.”

From Autauga County in Alabama, Henry attended North Highland Memorial High School and Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Prattville. Additionally, Henry served as past President of the North Highland Memorial Community Center Board of Directors.

As an artist and member of B2K, he has performed both as an individual artist and with them collectively. Additionally, he competed on season five of The Masked Singer as Yeti in some episodes (though at other times their feet were replaced with alternative footwear). Furthermore, he appeared in the movie Somebody Help Me as himself.

Professional Career

Omarion Henry excelled as an athlete at Normandy High School before pursuing further development at Link Academy Prep. Since then he has become part of the University of New Orleans Privateers basketball program.

Johnathan played both inside and outside linebacker for his team, tallying 46 tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss – one sack, two pass breakups, a forced fumble recovery and forced fumble forceout – as a total. Additionally he was recognized with both an ACC Linebacker of the Week award as well as Bill McGrotha Humanitarian Award winner.

He has also been training as a professional dancer for 15 years at Lafayette Ballet Theatre, The Edge Performing Arts Studio (LA), and Broadway Dance Theater (NYC). Throughout this time he has danced multiple international tours as well as world class production shows for artists like Usher, JoJo, Mariah Carey, and Brandy.

Achievement and Honors

Omarion has made numerous television appearances during his career. He starred as a cast member on You Got Served, appeared in films such as Fat Albert, Somebody Help Me and The Proud Family Movie as well as belonging to B2K – winning two Billboard Music Awards and one Soul Train Music Award along the way.

Omarion made his musical comeback in 2019 with the release of his fifth album, The Kinection. Additionally, he has participated in The Masked Singer under an identity of Yeti.

Omarion set his highest efficiency score ever during an NCAA college game on January 20, 2023 with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for New Orleans Privateers against Northwestern State Demons.

Personal Life

Omarion Henry hasn’t always had it easy. Born and raised in one of St. Louis’ poorest suburbs, he worked nights at FedEx to pay for private basketball coaching sessions; yet, he held onto his dream of becoming a professional athlete and worked tirelessly towards it.

He is now playing for the New Orleans Privateers of NCAA Men’s Basketball. In his previous game against Northwestern State Demons, his score was 74 – 70.

Apryl Jones and Jaxson Farris share an intriguing relationship. He once dated her, and they have two children together. Apryl currently stars on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood where she can often get involved in heated disputes.
