Adam McMillan, Law Enforcement Officer, Passed Away on Oct. 8

Cpl. Adam McMillan was on duty on Oct. 8 in Anderson Township when his cruiser collided with a Metro bus, fatally injuring 19-year veteran of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and 42-year old himself.

Who knew him best will recall fondly his infectious smile and sense of humor, as well as his dedication to family life.

Early Life and Education

Adam McMillan grew up in Glen Ellen, CA. He attended Dunbar Elementary School, Altimira Middle School, and Saint Vincent De Paul High in Petaluma; although not particularly fond of school itself he always seemed eager to learn and discover something new; constantly reading up and researching things related to that interest him.

He had served with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years and died after colliding with a Metro bus near Eight Mile Road in Anderson Township on Oct. 8. It marked the third on-duty fatality since 1984 for this office.

He was an organ donor. His family have received an overwhelming outpouring of love and support from around the world since his passing.

Professional Career

Adam Arranges is an accomplished pianist and arranger renowned for his YouTube channel Adam Arranges. His music draws its inspiration from his passion for art while inspiring others around him as well. Highly sought-after instructor who teaches piano across Glasgow.

As part of the Goblynz, Scottish hip hop and street dance champions, he regularly competes in battles and events around the UK. A passionate teacher who believes in encouraging his pupils to be confident with themselves as learners by exploring various methods, techniques, understandings and perspectives of dance as a form of self-expression, he offers lessons at many dance studios around Scotland.

Adam McMillan was a 19-year veteran of the sheriff’s office and an organ donor; his family mourn his passing.

Personal Life

Adam McMillan was a fourth generation law enforcement officer. Known for his tireless service to his community, Adam will be sorely missed by everyone he was connected with at work or elsewhere – his loss being felt across his family, colleagues and wider community.

On Friday afternoon he died after being involved in a traffic accident while driving his marked sheriff’s cruiser at Eight Mile Road and Beechmont Avenue intersection in Anderson Township. It collided with a Metro bus, leading to serious injuries for both drivers.

Since 1984, three on-duty deaths have been confirmed at Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office since 1984. At present, their investigation into what caused this crash remains in progress; and it remains unknown if any serious injuries occurred as a result.

Net Worth

McMillan recorded 105 total tackles (69 solo), two sacks, and one pass deflection during his regular season with the Miami Dolphins, helping them secure an AFC East title with 9-7 record and 9 wins out of 11.

He was part of the team which won Super Bowl XLIX in 2021 and received NFL All-Rookie status that same year.

Adam also serves on the Ontario Securities Commission’s securities proceedings advisory committee and has appeared on Bloomberg News Network discussing securities whistle-blower matters. Additionally, Adam has represented clients involved in complex disputes across industry sectors involving allegations of securities fraud or insider trading.

He prefers not to discuss any personal and love affairs publicly.
