Daniel Shamblin, 39, Arrested After Nov. 22 Stabbing in Oroville, Ore.

Oroville police officials have arrested Daniel Shamblin of Oroville after his fatal stabbing on Nov 22. The 39-year-old man has been identified by them.

Ramsey claims the victim and two friends drove to Shamblin’s recycling business on 5th Avenue in Oroville where, while visiting, an altercation turned physical.

Early Life and Education

Shamblin became widely beloved as she fused diet culture – books, daytime TV specials, and “eat whatever you want and lose weight!” slogans — with spirituality to create an irresistibly appealing blend that resonated with many Christians. Her explicit linking of food to holiness resonated deeply.

She wrote several bestselling diet books, such as 1997’s The Weigh Down Diet that sold over one million copies, as well as hosting classes across the US.
