Discover a designer dream penthouse in the heart of Istanbul!
Often, dream penthouses are designer-styled attic apartments, the interior design of which tends towards a minimalist or semi-minimalist style. The contemporary bachelor apartments unfold the idea via a clear, well-defined design, influenced by modern minimalism.
Today we are presenting you a breathtaking penthouse in the heart of Istanbul. It skilfully combines dexterity, functionality and the feeling of inviting comfort. This trendy project was designed and realized by the design studio Ofist for a 45 year old bachelor. The modern attic apartment reflects the owner’s lifestyle and the rich heritage of the historic district. It is located in the old commercial district of Istanbul – Karakoy, where there are many art galleries, designer studios, boutiques and hotels. The penthouse has a unique look that combines the past of this dynamic city with its modern present.
With its urban industrial style, the living area of the trendy penthouse combines different textures and materials. The spacious living room has an open floor plan with wide picture windows and the skylights not only ensure a beautiful view of the sky, but also a natural source of light during the day. The dark-colored wall clad with natural stone is the ideal background for the luxurious sofa with white velvet upholstery. The elements and constructions made of metal tubes used in the interior and the great pendant lights complement the ceiling made of golden-brown wood and give the ambience a warm and inviting touch. In the kitchen area there is a large and very practical kitchen island with a built-in sink. There you will also find other modern kitchen appliances, closed storage space and an ergonomic dining table with a solid top. The dining area continues to the imposing fireplace, which is an undisputed eye-catcher in the room. A striking part of the furnishings of this modern attic apartment is the huge “storage wall”. The decor of the wall is simply metal bars and grids. The organized things on the shelves are in full harmony with the industrial charm of the apartment and thematically correspond to each individual zone in the interior. In a delicate way, the charisma of each particular area is complemented. The sleeping area and bathroom are on the second level of the penthouse. Here there is again a “storage wall” instead of traditional heavy cabinets. The partition walls made of glass make the room appear more spacious and airy.
This dream penthouse with its total area of 185 m2 really enchants you from the first sight! Take a look at the picture gallery and be inspired by this great design.
