Jacks Fire Pit
Jacks fire pit is an excellent way to enjoy summer evenings or winter afternoons with family and friends. For maximum enjoyment, add rosemary for its sweet pine scent or dried sage for its light aroma.
Nothing beats relaxing in your backyard on a warm night with those you care about around a smokeless fire pit, awaiting its opening this summer in Imperial Beach.
Early Life and Education
Fire pits provide an enjoyable outdoor gathering spot, adding both warmth and atmosphere. Available in various shapes and sizes, one popular fire bowl choice is the Jack corten steel fire bowl; made of durable material featuring natural brown rust color for extra style points. Weatherproof yet weather resistant; perfect for use during warm or cold climate conditions alike!
Jack’s Fire Pit in Imperial Beach has opened their third restaurant. Formerly home to IB Public House, this New American BBQ eatery will offer New Mexican inspired menu items like stuffed peppers, flatbread pizzas, tacos and sandwiches on their menu.
The Jacks Firepit is constructed from corten steel, which features a brown rust color. Corten steel offers excellent resistance against corrosion and heat, making it an excellent choice for backyard fire pits. Assembly of this pit is quick and safe – just be sure to place it away from fences, plants, or anything ignitable such as paper.
Jack’s Fire Pit will soon open in Imperial Beach and offer New American BBQ with Mexican influences. They currently operate within Double Deuce country bar but will soon relocate to occupying the space formerly occupied by Swagyu Chop Shop.
Achievement and Honors
Young Jack was involved with his community as an active youth, working on numerous service projects. One such endeavor involved his church and involved building a fire pit and benches to be used during summer bonfires – provided by Lowe’s Home Improvement in Mentor. Jack used this project as part of his quest to become an Eagle Scout.
He has also been an outstanding volunteer with the Caregiver Coalition, and this year received the 2021 Caregiver Cup – given annually to an exceptional caregiver.
Bob Denning (EMBA ’00), Gayle Denning and Greg and Joanne Bauer (BS ’82) gave an award in memory of Paula in recognition of her creativity, imagination and generous spirit.
Jack dedicated much of his time and efforts to his family and loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He delighted in spending time playing with them and cherishing every moment together. Jack was an avid traveller and nature enthusiast; he also valued his country highly by sharing his views about its wellbeing with public officials.
Whiskey Girl and Double Deuce owners will open a Southern-style bar and restaurant called Jack’s Fire Pit this summer in Imperial Beach. At some point in most social situations, conversation inevitably falters and everyone focuses their gaze elsewhere or into their phones. A fire pit can serve as a great addition to any gathering and provide a means of unifying people while keeping them engaged and focused on the event at hand.
Soon in Imperial Beach, Jack’s Fire Pit will make its debut, taking over the space formerly occupied by IB Public House. Specializing in New American BBQ fare and being owned and managed by David Schiffman of Whiskey Girl and Double Deuce bar fame, it will offer New American fare.
